Signed, dated 1989 with location San Francisco.

Since 1973, Eric Lansdown has been famous for constructing meticulously engineered, one-of-a-kind aviaries and dollhouses. He initially worked out of a renovated fishing boat on the San Francisco waterfront before relocating his studio to a historic fortress in France.

This specific 1989 model features a Regency Neoclassical aesthetic. It is constructed from ebonized wood and accented with hand-painted gold gilding, showcasing classical palmette fan and scrollwork motifs along the frieze.

Due to Lansdown's premier build quality, the interior wire mesh is entirely hand-strung, hand-tied, and meticulously soldered. The entire apparatus sits cleanly on a custom-fitted, tapered-leg stand and features a pull-out debris drawer hidden behind a decorative interlocking-oval apron

Dimensions: 57 1/2” high x 32 1/2” wide x 21” deep.

Very good to excellent condition. Normal age wear.
