This is an authentic design by Austrian architect Oswald Haerdtl mid century serving cart. Curved wood frame with two glass shelves. Curved iron handles. Brass forked casters with white rubber on wheels.
Haerdtl was a master of Viennese Modernism who studied under Josef Frank and later collaborated with Josef Hoffmann. In the 1950s, he translated his architectural philosophy into residential luxury goods, giving this cart its characteristic flowing organic lines, continuous ribbon-like walnut frame, and seamlessly integrated brass handles
It features a highly sculpted, organic wooden frame (typically made of walnut or ash) with clean modernist lines, dual clear glass shelves, and curved brass handles integrated elegantly into the top frame
Dimensions: 27” inches high, to top of handles x 29 1/2”inches wide, handle to handle x 17 inches deep.
Condition: Very Good, wear consistent with age and use. White rubber on wheels dried and misshapen.
